The Alluroin Gastric Pill Balloon is a weight loss program requiring no surgery, endoscopy, or anesthesia.

The Allurion balloon will help you embrace health to lose an average of 10 to 15% of your body weight in approximately 16 weeks with the Allurion program and maintain up to 95% of the weight lost in one year.

On the appointment date, our certified doctor will do the procedure as an outpatient. The whole process takes around 15-20 minutes.

The balloon is packaged into a capsule attached to a thin catheter for easy placement, and our doctor will help you swallow the capsule with a glass of water.

Once the balloon is in place, the first X-ray is taken to confirm proper placement.

Once in the stomach, the vegetarian capsule degrades, and the balloon will be filled with 550 water. Then, the second X-ray is taken to ensure the filling is complete, and our doctor will gently remove the catheter from your mouth.

You will be observed by the nurse for around 30 minutes before going back home. The follow-up protocol will be scheduled by our doctor and nutritionist for the result of your weight loss.

While in the stomach, the Allurion Balloon helps reduce the feeling of hunger by taking up space in the stomach. It creates a sense of fullness, encouraging smaller portion sizes and allowing you to reduce snacking.

After approximately 16 weeks, the balloon automatically empties and passes out naturally when you use the toilet. During these 16 weeks, you are expected to lose an average of 15% of your total body weight.
