Booking a surgery date involves several steps, and the process can vary depending on the type of surgery and your specific circumstances. Here are some general steps to help guide you through the process:
Plan For Scheduling Your Surgery
⌵A Guide to Our Inquiry & Information Process
At WIH International Hospital, we believe that a well-informed patient is a confident patient. To make your journey with us as clear and efficient as possible, we have established a straightforward process for exchanging information and responding to your inquiries.
Step 1 – Your Initial Inquiry
We find that email and WhatsApp are the most reliable ways to communicate, as they allow us to create a clear record of your questions and our detailed responses. Whether you have non-medical questions about scheduling or travel, or specific medical inquiries about a procedure, our dedicated team is here to help.
- Our patient relations team will promptly address non-medical inquiries.
- Medical inquiries will be reviewed and answered by our expert surgeons.
Step 2 – Providing Your Health Information
For a safe and personalized consultation, we will ask you to complete our Patient Health Information Form. Providing honest and accurate details about your medical history is vital. This information allows our surgeons to assess your eligibility and create a customized treatment plan that prioritizes your safety and ensures the best possible outcome. Concealing medical conditions could increase the risk of complications, and your safety is our top priority.
Step 3 – Consent and Pre-Surgery Requirements
To ensure a smooth process, please be aware of a few key requirements:
- Patients who will be under 20 years of age on the date of their surgery must be accompanied by a parent or provide parental consent in advance.
- For certain surgeries or patients with pre-existing medical conditions, our surgeons may require medical clearance or a referral letter from your specialist to ensure you are in optimal health for the procedure.
Step 4 – Special Considerations for Patients with HIV
If you have a known HIV infection, we want to assure you that your safety and care are our primary concern. We will carefully assess your eligibility for surgery based on a few key factors:
- Your latest CD4 count
- Your viral load
- Your current antiviral medication regimen
- Any additional tests deemed necessary by the surgeon
This process is a standard part of our commitment to providing safe, high-quality care for all of our patients. We look forward to guiding you through this process and answering all of your questions.
A Guide to Submitting Your Photos: Evaluation
At WIH International Hospital, your journey begins with a precise, individualized recommendation tailored to your unique goals. To help our expert surgeons provide the most accurate assessment, we ask for a few clear photos. This simple step allows us to understand your case in detail and ensures we can offer the most suitable procedures for you.
Photo Submission Guidelines
For a seamless evaluation, please keep these guidelines in mind:
- To ensure successful delivery, please make sure your email attachments do not exceed 25 MB.
- Please provide photos that are well-lit, in focus, and do not contain any filters or editing.
Comprehensive Views for Face & Body Surgery
To allow our surgeons to perform a thorough evaluation, we require photos from three standard angles. These views provide a complete picture of your anatomy and symmetry.
- Front View: A straight-on view of your face or body.
- Semi-45° Angle Views: A view of both the right and left sides, taken at a 45-degree angle.
- Side Views: A clear profile view of both the right and left sides.
Specialized Views for Specific Procedures
Some procedures require additional photos to give our surgeons the full context needed for a precise assessment.
- Nose Surgery: Please include a Base View—an upward-looking shot from directly below the nose.
- Hair Transplantation: Please include a Top View and a Back View of your scalp.
By providing us with clear and accurate photos, you enable our surgical team to offer the most suitable procedures tailored to your unique needs.
This provides you with confidence and clarity, empowering you to move forward with a treatment plan designed exclusively for you.
